HI! :o If I make a fool out of myself it's cuz I'm tired, I'm not screwed. right now. Anyway, A little bit of tips from me who started snowboarding just last year <<woohoo>> and broke her arm within halfway into the season.

< Make sure your helmet strap is on tight and you're not holding everything together with a few safety pins (what! I lost my strap clicker inner thing ok?)

< Even if you're feeling like the shat and about to go off the table, don't go faster than you're actually composed to go or you'll end up doing something odd, turning around, leaning back, doing a flip onto your head, your helmet flying off, smacking your head on hard table-top ice and then breaking your arm.

< You can start at the bunnyhill but usually, if the bunnyhill is crowded, you learn better on the big hill. Besides, the rope is a skill but ever tried the lift? My first time off was an adventurous disaster.

Well, that's my experience for now.

< If someone wants to and feels nice, send me an e-mail telling me how I'm supposed to deal with those damn rails. I went of the dinky one but the bigger ones are just... insane. :D

I'm not great at rails so take my advice with a little bit of caution but I think the trick is to make sure you're looking where you're going and not down at the rail. Look down and that's where you'll be going. Only other tip is "speed is your friend", if you hit a rail too slowly you'll spend more time on it so more likely to overbalance, and its easier to balance when going quicker anyway.

Last time I followed my own advice I nearly chinned myself on the rainbow rail...

a few extra tips for anyone else trying rails for the first time and looking for some help.

It's really important to make sure your board is completely in line with the rail before you hit it, if you are nicely lined up you should just be able to keep going to the other end.
Whatever you do don't try and turn while you are on the rail, i know it seems obvious but's when you start to slip that is what your body tries to do by instinct. When you start to slip just jump off the rail.
When you are starting out don't attempt to do 50-50 it's much harder than it looks, and very painful when it goes wrong. That's all i can think of. Hope it helps someone to injure themself at least one less time than usual.

^^^ hes wrong... try the 50 50 first... its MOS DEF , the easyest trick on a rail. cause you go straight... just look at the very end of the rail an it helps you keep your balance... haha speaking of broken arms.. i've been there an CASTS SUCK! ... i feel your pain for sure... tables are the devil sometimes.... but yea. just gotta keep on keepin on. cause thats how you get better. pratice an pratice.... anyways. um . ya. thats about it. haha but i guesss that was a good learning experence for you hey?? don't try the tables untill your confident in your riding. :D....okes. peaces
