i'm looking for a new board this year. I'm looking at the Ride decade and the salomon Forecast or Definition. I'm mostly into freeriding but dont want to limit myself completely. I currently use Solomon boots and bindings (both high end stiff). Anyone familiar with these boards can give me some feedback. Thanks!

Most people I know don't ride Salomon stuff. Actually, come to think of it, I don't know anyone who does. But I have heard that that it is a pretty good brand. I guess it just really depends if you like it. And what your doing. Sorry I can't help out

I'd stay away from anything made by Ride, they're parent company is K2, and every one knows just how crappy all there stuff is...I know a guy that got to demo a ton of Ride boards last year, and he blew out two of them in only a week...thats just not right.
I say if you're going to get something new, get the best, go for something from Neversummer or Unity, just pick what fits your price range, and that should be that...though I have to tell you that Unity makes really stiff boards, they're softest from last session was the Rise, and thats nearly as stiff as most companys stiffest board.

It seems a lot of good boards are coming out of the van/whistler scene. Option, Capita, Endeavor. Those are the primary boards I ride. Plus I know guys sponsored by them.
