Probably not the question you were thinking....

What's the temperature where you are? Its 35 degrees in London and I'm tempted to go to work just so I can sit in an air-conditioned office.

It's 107 with a heat index of 120 here in Texas. Once again, I have hell converting to Celcius so I don't know what that translates to...something like C=(5/9)F-32...forget what order to do that in...think you take the fraction before you subtract...oh screw it.

107 ferenheit is about 40 celsius. I think it's 8 here, which is like 40 ferenheit.

No idea about the temp, all I know is that when i went outside this mourning, there was snow on top of the Gore Range! One more month, and the mountain will be hikeable!

Right now the temperature in Kirkland Washington is a balmy 56 degrees ferenheit. The sad thing is, it's been in the 90s for a better portion of the summer, so allthough I'm excited for snowboarding to start up in the winter, I hate the fall. HOOOOOOWever, I hear that South America had a good winter, which is usually a good indication that we here in the greater Seattle area will have a good winter.

Hopefully.

X, I seriously think that you and I are the only users here that use fahrenheit...

Beanie and "google"? Is that some sort of east-coast slang?

Btw...where do y'all guys ski up there? I know Vermont has some cool runs, but what about like Maine and NY? Do the lower states like Kentucky and Virginia have any good places? I'm just curious because I'd like to know where to go just in case we vacation up there next year.

Beanie, toque, toboggan...all the same. The "google" still bothers me.

And doesn't everyone say y'all? Don't tell me y'all actually take the time to actually say "you all"...

...do y'all?

No one here ever says y'all except when imitating a Texan. We also swagger and tip our cowboy hats when we do that. We don't usually say 'you all'. mostly just, 'hey, you guys wanna do something today?' that sort of thing. :p

Ha! i just thought of something! YOU probably have a accent! :D laughing now...

No "y'all"? Well "youse guys" just suck :p .

And y'all "imitate texans"? What exactly constitutes for a "Texan Imitation"? Would it be any different than an imitation of say...a person from New Mexico or Oklahoma or Arizona?

As for the accent...i'm saying no. Don't believe me? call (979) 847-7882.

"Youins"? Probably akin to the "youse guys" thing. You-ins. You-uns. You-ens. Younz. Youzns. Yenz. Yeah.

How can you NOT sound different from me? Almost everyone from USA do not sound like Canadians. We don't do imitations of New Mexicans or Oklahomaians (or w/e) or Arizonians. Just texans. Swagger, 'everythin's big in Texas!' with an accent and then talk about oil and tip our big hats. Yup. Dosn't happen to often though. Oh, and we do NOT so youse guys. Always just 'YOU guys' or we don't word it that way :p
What do you sound like if you don't sound like a Texan anyways? Surely you don't sound like a Canadian! What do you think i sound like anyways?¿

Well, I'm still not sure what you think a "Texan" sounds like. What you might be thinking of is what we like to call a "Kuntry Boah" (Country Boy)...someone who talks with a twang and has a dip can ring worn into his back pocket because he thinks it makes him a badass just because he dips...

As for my perception of a Canadian??? Umm...I just assumed youse guys all walked around in Sorel snow boots, goosedown parkas, and those toboggans with those little fuzzy balls on top, carrying a pint of beer in your hand and saying things like "aboot" and "eh?" to each other :p

Or maybe I'm just thinking of "Strange Brew"...

What the heck is a tobaggan with a little fuzzy ball on top???? I did just get this aweseomt toque though. It has ear flaps and strings hanging off them with sorta pom pom things, and it has a string hanging off the top with that too. IT is very cute. And I don't even own snow boots, or parkas, ( I do have a tobaggan) and I don't say 'aboot' (who does???) Thought yes, i do say eh. eh? Did you know where I live the coldest it has every gotten is roughly 10 below zero? Average in the winter is zero or 1 or two above or below. It is around 30 above in the summer sometimes.

Well, ttyl!

Well...there's that Celcius/Fahrenheit thing again...ummm...I'm guessing zero or 1 or 2 above isn't terribly cold when compared to fahrenheit...i'm guessing it would be around 34-36 degrees...which isn't bad. Last winter it got down to around 10 degrees (-12 Celcius? doesn't seem right  ) in the mornings sometimes. I remember it did it for a week solid once...I feared for my finger's sake, for all i was wearing a lot of the time was a pair of latex-coated gloves with a pair of cloth ones underneath...it sucks when you have to get your hands wet in freezing cold weather :(

uhuh. Ya, I don't know much about freezing weather. Even where I snowboard it is usually fairly warm. and that is the only place I really ever see snow.

Maine has Sunday River and Sugarloaf.

New Hampshire has Cannon(some of the best steeps in the east), Loon, Waterville, and Bretton Woods, and Sunapee. Oh and don't forget Ragged(Joe's ravine...)

Vermont has Stowe, Killington, Mt. Snow, and Okemo.

I believe I will be boarding every single place this year...

And if i get lucky, I'll hike and board Tuckerman's Ravine on Mount Washington...

Wow...must be nice. I have to travel 1200 miles to get a mountain with enough snow on it.
