I don't know much about those particular Rome bindings, but I do know the Rome 390s are pretty sick freestyle bindings. If you want a little versitility for freeriding once in awhile, I highly suggest Ride SPi's. Great bindings. Burton Cartels might also fit your needs well.

I heard that the Rome Arsenals are just last year's Rome 390 bindings. If you compare pics, they look exactly the same.

The new Romes from what Ive heard are just a tad better than last years model, basically just alittle lighter. I xps55, my friend rides them and he seems to like them quite well. No idea about the Unions though.
Ill still stick to my Drake Matrix, even though alot of people rag on them, I love them and will never ride any others.
