Well where are you going to be buying it? if you're going to do it online, then you'll want a board that's in the low 160's high 150's, but if you're buying it in a shop, then don't even bother asking cus they'll fix you up nice and good. For your first board you'll probably want to go to a board shop- they know what they're doing and can fully help you with heighth, width, boots, bindings, everything... and even then you can always leave and find that exact board online for less money, see? Kind of *****y, but saves mucho dinero!

I don't want to sound a little harsh and this may not have anything to do with snowboarding, but you could do to lose a bit of weight. Perhaps think of that before you start rushing around thinking of Snowboarding. Although if you're thinking of that instead of Ice-Cream, that is a good start.

He knows he isn't fat, according to BBC, he is perfect weight for someone of his height.

I hope he doesn't take me too seriously. *Says whilst feasting on more and more Ice-Cream*

yea you should definately get something a bit longer. Over 155 at least...bit longer if you are just doing freeriding, a bit shorter if you are a freestyle kind of person. Trial and error is usually the best way to find out, heh.

I'm like 5' 11" and 190...I'm just a little chunky. be hey...look at the worlds strongest men....then ain't ripped but I've never seen anyone who is ripped througha full keg over a 20 foot wall

looking ripped is only for people who are trying to show off their body. ALL of the guys who do things such as pulling cars and lifting 1000lbs not only work out and get muscles up, but also eat a lot and get just BIG.

when i started snowboarding, my teacher told me that although losing weight was not necessary but if i did that would help me in my moves and balance. plus i also remember him saying something about muscles not holding for jackshit in snowboarding because if you have big muscles then sometimes they limit your mobility while snowboarding and that can really be a problem as surely we all know. so my advice, and this is very honest, that you should lose some muscle and som e weight, albeit in your own time, take it as it somes, but do lose some weight if you want to take up snowboarding seriously.
