I've been snowboarding 5 times this season, and i'm sick of wasting money for rentals.. I had a really bad experience with my last rental, but that is neither here nor there... anyways i've been doing my research and i'm looking into getting a Burton Cruizer or the Ride Decade.. I'm sort of an advanced beginner (if there is such a thing), but i don't consider myself an intermediate boarder.. could u guys hit me up with any advice regarding the two?? thanks and i'm lookin forward to hearing a reply.. lates

Well, as some people on these forums may already know, I'm not a burton fan. I don't really know anything about the Cruizer specifically, so I can't say anything about that one.
The Decade however, I have heard some pretty good things about. Not an amazing board but certainly not a bad one either. If you get a chance, you may be able to demo one or the other at a mountain near you. (check their websites for dates on that)

Both are good boards. Burton boards tend to have a little more flex and therefore might be a little more forgiving for the beginner. Check ebay, I've found some good deals on equipement there. I saw a used Burton Dragon recently for less than what you could buy a Cruzer for new and I just picked up t6 (Burton's top o'line freeride board) for about what a Cruzer cost.
