I was talkin to some girl in science today, and she said she's got a Rad Air board. I've never heard of it, and she wasn't sure how good it was and asked me. I just skimmed the site really quick, well, not really. Just went to it, lol. But anyways, I gotta go for a little bit so I don't got time to check it out.

I don't know too much when it comes to boards, but I've heard Santa Cruz plenty of times.

well....i dunno, i talk to people that work for companies, usually Rome and Never Summer, i talk to a few of my friends who work at my local shop, and i read 3 different snowboarding forums (including these) yeah im obsessive, but somehow santa cruz never crossed my path
i guess i'm only knowledgable about bigger names, oh well
anyway, Rad Air is a fairly new company. That doesn't mean their not good, remember that snowbaording is a fairly new sport (it wasn't big at all until the mid-80s or so) sorry i cant help more than that

Yeah, I know. She just seemed a little concerned because she asked some one else, and he's like "Blah, thats barely a step up from like Wal*Mart boards." but I wouldn't trust him; he doesn't really board. He's got a cheap board and doesn't know much about the sport.

Oh I know, I did the History Of Snowboarding numerous times for school projects...Hehehe, I love how when Burton first put 'bindings' on his snowboards, everyone basically laughed at him and figured he'd do poorly in his next contest. Turns out, he won it- if I remember correctly.

I guess santa cruz is only big here in the west coast cuz its all over the place here. Santa Cruz actually started out as a pioneer brand for skateboards and eventually expanded to make snowboards also, which happen to be excellent boards. If you've heard of Sessions or Independent trucking, santa cruz boards are right along with them cuz i think they are all affiliated.

Rad Air snowboards are made by Volkl in Austria. (Volkl makes high $$ skis and the Renn Tiger, which holds the snowboard world speed record of 125 M.P.H.) Rad Air desgns their own boards and then has Volkl build them. They use absolutely top quality materials and have been around for a long time (10+ years). Definitely NOT "Walmart."

Santa Cruz the bike company makes very high end bikes and though they are separate companies they do have a history see the following link

Well if they are as good as you sound then how come nobody rides them?

Theres a ton of small companies that make good boards, maybe thats the case with this one or its a popular brand in europe who knows.
But I know theres many small companies that make top quality boards just there really hard to find and probably won't be at your local snowboard store (so you'll never cross paths with those boards). I remember seeing a Hammer Board at a store once the guys that worked there all raived about the board and said its one of the best boards out there in 4-5 years everyone is gonna have a Hammer Board but I still haven't seen anyone riding one.
