Hey everyone, I am shopping for new snowpants as I grew almost 4 inches since last season! Here are the ones in my price range:

1. 686 "Chino" pant - $150.00
2. Arson "Inferno" pant - $155.00
3. Liquid "Draft" pant - $120.00
4. NFA "Mendenhall" pant - $150.00
5. Ripzone "Microlite" pant - $130.00
6. Ripzone "Stance" pant - $100.00
7. Special Blend "Flint" pant - $130.00

these prices are in CAD and I was wondering if anyone had used them or has experience with them and can help me narrow it down.

I have the 686's. Honestly, I can't imagine how a pair of pants could be any better.

After going through a lot of REIs and Big 5s, I think I'm going to settle for a GoreTex bib that is used for snowmobiling.

I found a set with GoreTex and Thinsulate insulation. What really makes it interesting is that the buttocks area has a foam-like Thinsulate insulation, and so does the knees.

Cabela's GoreTex XPG Bibs (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jhtml?id=0027474922470a&type=product&cmCat=search&returnString=hasJS=true&_D%3AhasJS=+&%2Fcabelas%2Fcommerce%2FCabelasCatalogNumberFinder .giftCertificateURL=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Ftemplates%2F giftcertificate%2Fgiftcertificate.jhtml%3Fid%3D000 5586990011a%26podId%3D0005586%26catalogCode%3DIB%2 6navAction%3Djump%26indexId%3D&_D%3A%2Fcabelas%2Fcommerce%2FCabelasCatalogNumberF inder.giftCertificateURL=+&QueryText=xpg&Go.x=22&Go.y=12&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jhtml.22&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=xpg&noImage=0&returnPage=search-results1.jhtml)

Only thing that I can see might be nice is a way of venting during those warm days on the snow. But if you go really really fast, you should not need any venting. :D
