when you're going downhill, turn your head and body and your feet should follow. swing the back of your board around and simply grind to a stop, parallel to the slope.

if you feel like falling backward, throw your arms in front of you as you skid to a stop, mostly if you're on an incline. a bad habit to get into is coming to an almost stop and then sitting down quickly, always try to stay upright.

turn your body to the left or right (goofy right so you face down hill, regular left so you face down hill or left goofey so you will face up hill but faceing down is easyiest.) lean back to your heals not too much bu not too little (something you will try a few times then get the hang of it) but if you dont lean back you will face plant. good luck

turn the board so that you are perpendicular to the slope and dig an edge in. you dig your toeside in if you are facing the top of the hill. you dig your heelside in if you are facing the bottom of the hill.
