Just browsing my mountain's website...
Sat. Dec. 18th – East Coast Invitational Rail Jam – Wachusett's biggest snowboard competition ever and one of the largest cash purses at a New England snowboard event! Kick off the season by watching pros from all over compete for a $12,500 purse! There will be both a men's and women's division. The event will include a day-long snowboard celebration complete with demos, music, DJ and mountainside party! Sponsored by Salomon Snowboards.
That sounds pretty cool, I'm gunna bring my brother's video camera. Or this X-mas we're getting my dad a digital camera, and hopefully it will also be a video recorder. But what really made me happy....
Sun. Feb. 6th: 4th Annual Snowboard Classic Competition. See competitors bust huge air off the jumps in our Terrain Park. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best slope style riders. This event benefits the Ryan C. Joubert Memorial Skate Park in Fitchburg, MA. Open to the Public.
If all goes well, I'll probably enter it. I just hope I get good with my new board, its like a foot bigger and much heavier, I imagine it will be a little hard getting used to the transition of the two boards, but I'll manage. And hopefully, I'll still be able-bodied enough to enter!
